I did send my wife's and my daughter's RFE in one package. But have separate cover lettter and folder. One packet is enough, clearly distiguish between two set of papers.
My wife and I got RFE on medical. Now I am sending response to RFE. Do I need to send the RFE response individually by FEDEX or Can I send both of us responses in one FEDEX package? Please advise. Thanks.

Employment letter is required at time of filing. If it is not there, your application might get rejected

Hi,
What is the difference between "reject" and "deny" in USCIS terms? Is it that reject is even before the case is processed and when application is returned back immediately and "deny" is later when the case is looked into and then the aplicant is found ineligible for whatever reasons?
If this is indeed the case how much time does one have after getting an RN to submit additional evidence he/she may have missed initially but before the case is processed?
any ideas from the adjucators manual?

I just spoke with Xiyun Yang from Washington Post and conveyed thanks for covering a detailed article. She expressed that there is attention being drawn by many quarters including political for "Skilled LEGAL Immigrants".
Also we need to emphasize & communicate is the "increased fees" (almost doubled in many cases) for all USCIS services effective end of this month (July 30). Is this the penalty to be legal ?
The rallys and campaigns should emphasize this important detail too. This is huge money and not fair to the amount of service that is being currently provided.

My case was filed on july 2 and got rejected due to incorrect fees. I was told, it was mail room error and was refiled on Sep 12th. I was under the impression that all the rejected cases have receipts numbers and the cases are entered in USCIS database.
I called USCIS and my case information is not in database yet. My attorney told me that they only have a reference number for inquiry(yet to explain why no receipt number instead).
Have you guys seen this happening in other cases?

I think you can't apply more than six months in advance from the date your H1 is expiring.

Hello gurus,
My H1 expires in march 2009, I have valid EAD and AP, I want to renew my H1to be on the safer side.
My wife made use of her EAD for few months and now she is not working, and we are planning to visit India for few weeks next year and get H1 and H4 stamped.
here are my questions:
1. Can my wife get her H4 extension when I apply for my H1 extension ?
2. Does USCIS know that she used her EAD (Is there a way that they can find out) and will there be any problem in approving H4 extension ?
3. Now that she is not using her EAD, Is she back on H4 status ? She came here as H4 and never made a trip back.
