Where as receipt notice has correct A#.

Please let me know, what I need to do to get correct A# on my AP?

With a newborn at home, this was a crucial decision for me, if I used EAD (with same employer) I could work minimum hours like 10-20 hours a week. I just wanted to be sure that at the time of GC processing, my less hours worked shd not be taken as an objection.

I have to Renew my AP which was expired 2 years back. I work and live in Virginia

and my I-485 is pending at NSC.

At which center should I apply for AP renewal?

Can I e-file for AP?

What is the difference between Paper filigng and e-filing?.

How about this ? Lets say your consulting firm is ready to file your I-485 upon lots of restriction such as two year agreement and to spend around 10 gran.

While the big firm who has filed the PERM and waiting for the approval. In this case, can we do both the cases to see which is better upon the current situation.

This will help few of our folks and your thoughts are always appreciated.

I am F-1 Student at a community college. At the same time, I am teaching at the college that I go to, since I have a Master's Degree....as I am allowed to work on campus 20 hours. The school is not willing to file H1b for me. But if there is another short cut....they might help me with that. Is there any way of receiving Green Card without going through the H1b?

Please Please help me.........

Hi ,
I have been residing in the U.S. (NY) since 0ct 2007 with an H4 visa. My dad had and still has an H1B visa. I have completed my high school here in the States only and now I am enrolled as a full time student in a college (in-state tuition). Now the problem is I will turn 21 this February and I believe I will no longer be a dependent on my father's H1 visa and would be residing "illegally". In that case what should I do? I want to complete my studies and stay here in the U.S. with my family and not be deported back to my home country all alone :(
Is changing to F1 a good option for me ? I heard it could be risky? Is there any way I could have my studies going smoothly as it is now considering the out state tution under F1 would be too much...
any suggestions and help would be greatly apppreciated

If I apply for H1b in April, 2008 and choose consular visa processing, and the H1b starts in Oct, 2008. Do I have to go to the consular for a H1b visa? I might receive a EAD from 485 before October, and if I do, I would like to use EAD but keep the option of H1b open.

Can anyone answer me???

Say I don't activate my H1b in Oct 2008, but H1b is valid for three years, does it mean I can activate it any time by going to the consular for a H1b visa from 10/2008 to 09/2011? Of course I will keep my status valid (AOS) throughout the period.

I have a VISA appointment in Vancouver, CA for stamping my US H1 B visa.
I was wondering if anyone has gotten there H1 B stamped from Vancouver lately. I want to know if they hold on your passport for a day and return it to you next day or do they return it on same day?
I need to plan on my return trip. Any help is appreciated.

I made address changes to pending EAD renewal and I-485 yesterday in the afternoon for myself and spouse. Same day later in the evening I got email saying CPO for EAD renewal. This is a story of 8/20/2008.

I tried called 800 number and was told that they can't verify that address was successfully changed on the application.THey don't have access to personal information. They are asking me to take Inforpass to verify the address.

There is no LUD on either I-485 or EAD renewal after address change. Is LUD an indication that address change has been done? There are no infopass available for 2 months ( I will keep checking if somebody cancels )

Does anybody has any pointer as to how I can verify address change without infopass

With all the data from USCIS, FOIA and other tracker - random sampling its really hard to say. They all say different things. I think the only thing that is somewhat clear is that EB ROW is not going to use much of the visas this year and we expect some reduction in the backlog. There many estimates by people on this forum.

Hi!

I need to know when can I fly back to US on my H4 visa(valid till 2011 ).
My husband has joined a new job and his H1 B transfer has been filed .
Do I have to wait for new I 797 or Can I just travel on my old H4 visa and
visa transfer receipt notice .( he is filing the H1 transfer by premium processing ) .
His new employer is suggesting me to reenter on old h4 and before my husband
joins their company .
But for me that will be very soon ( not fulfilling the purpose of my visit ).
Any help is much appreciated.:confused:

I have MS+2 yrs of experience(software engineer). The company i am thinking to join is in Boston.


I am guessing boston is a highly educated town with many young graduates roaming around. Having said that, will this be an issue while we send out an ad for MS+2 yrs as there might be several responses to the ad and refuting all of them would be difficult ?


Please let me know, if I am THINKING CRAZY or this is TRUE. Another option i have is a company in chicago. Not sure where will I be better off as far as GC is concerned.

Also, anybody heard of MONIQUE KORNFELD immigration attorney based out of Newton, Massachussets ??? If so, please let me know about her expertise. I JUST can't find out how many yrs she has been practising immigration.
