Hello,

I had E-Filed AP for me and my family on July 7th, 2008. Still it is showing as pending, On December 16th, 2008, I send a request to USCIS for expedite processing, December 26th I received a letter from USCIS that an officer is assigned to our case but after that there is no change in the status.
Can somebody pls suggest any steps that I should take to get my AP approved?

Today's news that Indiana Democratic Senator Evan Bayh will be retiring is probably bad news for much of the Democrat's legislative agenda. But when it comes to immigration, this is probably a good news day. Bayh's last vote on comprehensive immigration reform was a bad one. He voted with anti-immigration Senators to filibuster the 2007 version of comprehensive immigration reform and there is little reason to believe his vote in 2010 would be different. Hello

Well need some help. I moved from H1-B to F1 visa to do masters. Now I want to quit F1 in middle and go back to doing H1-B and continue masters part time.

I know there are still slots open for H1-B for 2010. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Now I can do summer internship untill August 26, the question is, how can I work for the employer for the month of September? since H1B starts on Oct 1st. I can do CPT full time but, then again I heard you can not quit CPT in middle of the semester.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

My PERM was filed in Dec, 2006 and was denied on April, 2007. As per my employer's lawyer it was erroneously denied by DOL. The lawer has received the denial letter but no reason was stated. He was keep on follwing up with DOL but no answers. On Aug 2007, lawyer was followed up again directly with the DOL office in Atlanta , with the liaison at the American Immigration Lawyer's Association and also it was sent to the congressional office. Through Senetor we came to know that there was typo in the date field. The lawer is persuing to get the denal letter again with reason so that we can appeal. But we have 10% chance to get the another deial letter. Now lawer is asking for filling a new PERM. In between I lost 8 months and now I'm running out time. My 6th year is expiring on Sept08. Just incase if we din't get denial letter and file the new PERM on Mrach can we get the 7th year extension ? (We will show all the documents etc for previos denail case and there was no reason in denail letter. PLEASE HELP

You can apply again if you have a new employer, or even if the same employer will reapply. However, if you were denied for a reason that is still a problem, such as not having the required degree or experience equivalent, there is no point in reapplying. Good luck.

started as an intern with local in the month of march 06 and I was given offer till end of august. but my school official gave me work permit on a semester basis and gave it only for srping 06, which end in may 15th. I couldn't update my CPT status for 1 day for summer 06 and started on 16th may, so the school official has said that i am out of status.Since re-instatement is not possible from school as it was unauthorized work permit. They have advised me to go to home country and attend visa to be eligible for reinstatement. I have grauduated last month with masters of science..

They said they will provide me recommendation letter for me to show to consular officer. Also, I have an MBA admit in same university for spring 2007.

so should i come to new program..if thats the case how to get an emergency appoitment.
