How Senator David Vitter (R-LA) is still in Congress after his prostitute scandal escapes me. If his latest legislative effort is some kind of attempt to redeem himself with voters, he's living in a very warped world. Vitter is proposing to cut off funding for the 2010 Census unless the survey checks the citizenship of all people responding. Hi, I have approved H1b through company "NewCompany" but my GC sponsoring company "GCcompany" is planning to cancel my APPROVED 140. Again, I know USCIS will do inted to deny and Yes, I have filed for 485 + it's been 180+ days but I guess the most important question of all is:-
"Will this affect my H1B status?' Since the approval for new 3 year (extension) was based on my 140 and now this thing is under jeopardy. If I use EAD, my wife will no longer be H4 and thats a different problem- Gosh when is thind going to end?"

We have just received another H-1 approval for an end-client placement. There were two intervening vendors and the end-client declined to provide a letter stating that there is no requirement in law for them to provide any such letter. We had to get together convincing secondary evidence. I was highly doubtful we will get the approval, but we did. So, despite the January 8 memo from USCIS, there is life yet for consulting industry.

I applied for I485 like many others in July. I just heard my group may be spun off from its parent company and might be funded by VCs. Does this mean I cannot use my LC/I140? If/When I get my EAD will it be valid?

No big deal....It does not affect you as long as your job is still same. The new company will take over your labour and I140 and you should be fine

My Mother in law appeared at hyderabad US consulate and IO told her that she got visa but asked her to come up with new passport, becoz some letters in her current passort has faded out.
Is this happend with any one? and what we do in this situation after getting new passport?
I mean do we need another appointment or just go with new passport and drop?
Please through some thouts.

The AP document should say that you can be paroled until ABC date. That is the expiration of the AP.

Hello,
I have this situation and need some advice or if anyone can share their experiences.
H1b extension was denied with reason of "Employer-employee relationship". RFE was responded to (with requested pay stubs and W-2) and was still denied. Now, attorney from company is filing for MTR. How long does MTR processing take as the case was already existing? Does that matter or it doesn't? How long did it take to get a decision from CIS?
Is it possible to file MTR from company A (employer) and to file a new petition from company B (middle vendor who has direct contract with client)? Can the MTR be withdrawn in favor of a new petition?
Did anyone go for MTR and how many days did it take to get the decision?

I have not seen any action on my case. no checks encashed, no ead , no ap ...nothing.

What a piece of work from the man who warned us about death panels in the health care bill. His grasp of the facts don't seem to be much better when it comes to USCIS' enforcement of H-1B rules. I received my EAD today, but my I-140/I-485 are pending. Is the EAD of any use right now? I think I have to wait for the I-140 to be approved before changing jobs, right?
